
Winter in Minnesota is long and can be difficult, particularly for students in demanding academic programs like the health professions. BeWell is starting the Winter Wellness initiative to promote well-being among health professional students during the winter season.
From January to March, there will be numerous events focused on improving well-being and cultivating community with fellow students!

Yoga
Join us for a gentle introduction to basic yoga postures and breathing techniques. Gain flexibility and strength, while calming the mind. NO PREVIOUS YOGA EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! Each session will be limited to 6 in-person participants, but unlimited participants can join via Zoom! Please wear comfortable clothing.

Kinesthetic Awareness: Creative Dance Study
A practice in the art of creative dance group improvisation, this movement exploration will build from individual to group studies with some reflection time built in. Our focus will be on organic impulse, using everyday movement language to connect kinesthetically in an open and supported space. All movement experiences are welcome, all prompts are go-at-your-own-pace. Come ready to move!

Snowshoeing is a fun and easy way to walk in nature during the winter time. Snowshoes will fit on any boot and no experience is required. Options are available in the Twin Cities, Rochester, and Duluth! Please wear warm comfortable clothing.

FREE 5 Week Yoga Series
BeWELL, in partnership with Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing students completing Hatha Yoga teacher training courses, will be offering a 5-week Hatha Yoga Series for health professional students. Classes are FREE but registration is required. Hatha Yoga is a gentle introduction to the basic yoga postures and breathing techniques. Gain flexibility and strength, while calming the mind.
